Level / Tier / Difficulty
Each Affinity of your character has an independent level. You gain XP for that Affinity by successfully completing Hazards with that Affinity chosen. Once you reach 10 XP you can Level Up that Affinity.
A character’s level is the average of all of its Affinities, rounded down.
Levels are grouped into Tiers.
- Untrained 1-5
- Apprentice 6-11
- Journeyman 12-23
- Expert 24-106
- Master 107+
Each Mission has a difficulty that corresponds to the Tiers above.
Notes:
- You can XP for an Affinity when the Mission difficulty is the same Tier as your Affinity or higher. Example: If your Affinity is Apprentice Tier you gain XP on missions of Apprentice difficulty or higher.
- You do not gain XP for an Affinity when the Mission difficulty is a lower Tier than your Affinity. Example: If your Affinity is Apprentice Tier you do not gain XP on missions of Untrained difficulty.
- You always get loot on successful missions, independent of the above.
- The opposite is true of gear. You can only use gear that is the same or lower Tier.
